The neighbors maple tree across the street looks like fall now. One of the few trees down here that looses all their leaves.

Der Ahorn Baum der Nachbarn von gegenueber sieht richtig nach Herbst aus. Einer der wenigen Baeume die hier unten alle Blaettern verlieren.

This is my sons science project. An antlion.

I will show more pictures next week when the project is do.

It's pretty cool to watch these doodle bugs.

My late 12 of 12 September/Meine verspaeteten 12 v 12

My 12 of 12 are a day late due to some computer troubles , but here they are now.

Meine 12 v 12 sind etwas verspaetet da ich gestern Computer Probleme hatte, aber hier sind sie nun.

The day started with a breakfast of yummy home made pancakes with maple syrup and some bacon.

Der Tag fing mit Fruehstueck an. Pfannkuchen mit Ahornsirup und Bacon.

After turning the computer on to check what happened overnight , I found out that I had a virus that took me all day to get rid of. Thankfully I have a laptop too. I was able to google every step to fix it and it worked! Hurray!! :0)

Nachdem ich meinen PC angeschmissen hatte musste ich leider feststellen das ich einen Virus hatte. Es hat den ganzen Tag gedauert ihn loszuwerden, aber gluecklicherweise habe ich ja ein Laptop und konnte so google befragen was man machen muss und dann Schritt fuer Schritt nachvollziehen. Nun ist wieder alles in der Reihe! Hurra!!

With all the new apples coming in, I made us some apple cake .

Da jetzt all die neuen Aepfel in den Laeden sind habe ich uns einen Apfelkuchen vom Blech gebacken.

In the afternoon we went for a dip in the pool. The temperatures are just perfect!

Am Nachmittag sind wir dann eine Weile im Pool gewesen. Die Temperaturen sind perfekt.

Little,well not so little (3lbs)Wilbur needed his nails clipped.

Der kleine,naja mit 3 Pfund ist man als Meerschein nicht mehr als klein glaube ich,Wilbur musste seine Krallen geschnitten haben.

I found this mushroom in our yard just before the boys mowed the lawn.

Diesen Pilz habe ich in unserem Garten fotografiert bevor die Jungs den Rasen gemaeht haben.

My husband and our youngest son build some bird houses for a science project that he has to do.

Mein Mann hat mit unserem Juengsten Vogelhaeuser fuer ein Schulprojekt gebaut.

Our youngest son is learning to play the oboe since he started the new school year a couple of weeks ago. He does already very well and practices a lot.

Unsere Juengster lernt Oboe zu spielen.Er ist erst ein paar Wochen dabei, aber macht sich schon sehr gut und uebt auch viel.

I started to crochet little beanies for the pocket babies

Ich habe kleine Muetzchen fuer die Taschenpueppchen gehaeckelt

and started on Bunny Blanky's

und habe mit Hasen Schmusetuechern angefangen.

12 of 12 June/12 von 12 Juni

I had planned a different 12 of 12 today, but as we all know things don't always go as planned.

For a week now I have been on an off quiet dizzy in the morning and today it was somewhat bad and i went to see the Doc.

Ich hatte eigentlich andere 12 von 12 geplannt, aber wie wir ja alle wissen kommt es machmal anders als geplannt.

Seit gut einer Woche ist mir morgens schwindlig und heute morgen war es ziemlich heftig und ich hab meine Arzt besucht.

Now I have some pills to deal with it

Jetzt hab ich ein paar Pillchen damit es besser wird.

So far still no sight of the oil slick but it is getting close.....

Bisher haben wir noch kein Oel gesehen , aber weit entfernt ist es nicht mehr....

Who knows what the beaches will be like next year.....

Wer weiss wie die schoenen Straende naechstes Jahr aussehen.....

The landlord got the house painted and now we have this red door.

Well, I would have prefered a darker bordeaux shade .....

Unser Vermieter hat das Haus streichen lassen und nun haben wir eine rote Tuer!

Ich haette lieber einen dunkleren bordeaux Ton gehabt , aber was solls.....

Summer is here for sure! It's hot , humid and the water is just perfect.

Sommer ist auf jeden Fall hier! Es ist heiss, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und das Wasser ist super .

Soccer is a must of course and this afternoon wie watched England vs USA

Fussball muss natuerlich auch sein, und heute nachmittag haben England und die USA gespielt.

I did some watering of my plants in and around the house.

The mailman brought me my win from Cozy Homemaking today too.

It came all the way from France!!!

Der Postbote hat mir heute auch meinen Gewinn von Cozy Homemaking gebracht.

Es kam aus Frankreich! :0)

Our bananas started to look a bit brownish...

Unsere Bananen fangen an etwas braun auszusehen....

so I decided to make some Banana Pecan Muffin.

also habe ich mich kurzerhand entschlossen Bananen Pecan Muffin zu backen.

They are soooo good!!

Die sind soooo lecker!!!

After school the youngest went in the pool.

It's still a bit cool, but warming up every day a bit more.

Nach der Schule ist der Juengste dann im Pool schwimmen gegangen.

Es ist zwar immer noch etwas kuehl,aber es wird schon jeden Tag etwas waermer.

Gromit only fishes his ball out.

Gromit fischt nur seinen Ball aus dem Wasser.

Bailey prefers to check on the lizard's

Bailey guckt lieber nach Eidechsen.

This plane,an Osprey, was practicing starting and landing at the near by airport.

Dieses Flugzeug, ein Osprey hat starten und landen an nahegelegenen Flughafen geuebt.

I noticed this wasp starting a nest on the patio.

It's beautiful, but we will have to take care of that....

One of our kids is allergic to wasps and hornets.

Mir ist aufgefallen das ein paar Hornissen sich ein Nest auf unserer Terrasse bauen.

Es ist schon huebsch, aber wir muessen uns darum kuemmern, da einer unsere Kinder auf Wespen und Hornissen allergisch ist.

It's the 12th of the month again and that means it's time for

First outing of the day...It rained so I drove the kid to the bus stop.

Almost got to this beauty too late . I wanted to take a picture of the blossoms for days ...

Ich bin zu dieser Schoenheit fast zu spaet gekommen...Seit Tagen will ich nun schon Bilder von den Blueten machen...

So essen sie wenigstens frisches Obst!

For supper we had aspargus, potatoes and ham..mmmhhh

Zum Abendessen gab's heute Spargel, Kartoffeln und Schinken...mmmhhh
