So here are some more pictures of the area around my hometown.

This is in the small town of Haseldorf . 

A big old farm house now converted to a bicycle shop.

There's also a fruit and veggie stand with fresh produce from the area.

Dort gibt es auch eine Obst und Gemuesestand mit frischen Sachen aus der Umgebung.

I love apples. 

There are lots of orchards around my hometown and many of those varieties I can only get there.

  I miss those different apples.

Ich liebe Aepfel.

In der Marsch gibt es viele Obsthoefe mit Apfelsorten die es hier nicht gibt.

Ich vermiss diese Vielfalt.

Around my home town in Germany/ In der Umgebung meiner Heimat Stadt in Deutschland

I just got back last week from 2 weeks in Germany.

My mom had a hip replacement and I was able to go and be with her.

Over the next little while I will be posting some pictures I took from around my hometown in Northern Germany and my trip.

Ich bin vor eine Woche aus Deutschland zurueckgekommen wo ich 2 schoene wochen verbracht habe.

Meine Mutti hat eine neue Huefte bekommen und ich hatte das Glueck in der Zeit bei ihr zu sein.

Ich werde nun in den naechsten Posts Bilder von der Umgebung meiner Heimat Stadt und meinem Besuch hier zeigen.

These houses are very typical around the area where I grew up.

These are next to the dike.

I have to admit that I lost some sleep over it, but at the end it turned out very cute!

Ich muss zugeben das ich ein bischen Schlaf deswegen eingebuest habe, aber am Ende ist es dann doch sehr niedlich geworden!

The Advents calendars for my boys got done yesterday!

I just made it in time yet again. Puhh...

It seems to become yearly recurrence that I make calendars last minute.

Believe me I have good intentions every year to have them done earlier, but this time of year is soooo busy that it never happens how I plan it.

I guess as long as the boys don't have to be without, who cares when they are done, right?

This year they will find a lot of German goodies in them.

Die Adventskalender fuer meine Jungs sind gestern endlich fertig geworden!

Ich hab's mal wieder gerade noch geschafft.vPuhh....

Das scheint so eine jaehrliche Geschichte zu werden, das es immer in letzter Minute gemacht wird.

Nicht das ich mir nicht vornehme frueher fertig zu sein, aber mit dem Weihnachtgeschaeft und allem anderen bin ich soooo beschaeftigt das es nie was wird.

Idenke solange meine Jungs ihre Kalender bekommen ist es ja auch egal wann die gemacht wurden, oder?

Dieses Jahr gibt es auch eine Menge deutsche Leckereien zum auspacken.

Am Samstag habe ich auch einige unserer Weihnachtsdeko rausgeholt.

Mir gefaellt die rot weiss Kombination sehr gut....

Look what I found at my last trip to the Goodwill store.

Yes, another sewing machine. A Sears Kenmore. It works and cost me 19.99$US!!

How can you say no to that???

Guckt mal was ich bei meinem letzten Besuch im Secondhand Laden gefunden habe.

Ja, noch eine Naehmaschine.

Diesmal eine Sear Kenmore . Sie funktioniert und hat nur 19,99$US gekostet.

Da kann man doch nicht nein sagen.

I also found a bunch of wool sweaters in great colors.

I felted them already in the washer/dryer so that they are ready to go.

Diese Wollpullover habe ich auch noch mitgebracht.Dieses mal waren tolle Farben dabei.

Ich hab sie schon in der Waschmaschine/Trockner gefilzt
