Where do the days go????

I'm sure I'm not alone asking this question quiet often. What happens to each day??? Where does the time go????

I'm so busy at the moment, with my family(a lot of driving around), normal day to day stuff, and making things, that I hardly find the time to post here.

My day just doesn't have enough hours to get everything done. This is a reoccurring theme in my life, but I never get used to it. I know that part of the problem is time management. I've never been good at this and I have a suspicion that I never will be.

It doesn't help either if you have many interests . I have never been able to stick with just one thing. Most people just paint, or knit, or sew, or make cards and so on.....Not me though!

At the moment I sew more, but I would , for example like to paint garden flags again . Especially since I have non for myself. (I sold or gave them away as gifts.) Felting is somthing I love to do as well....wood working....

Well enough of the dreaming...back to reality!

I'm off to my sewing corner to make more Mini's. I'm almost out!

Also in the works: new Cuddle dolls and maybe even a doll or two.

  1. You already know this, of course, but o, how I recognize the feeling!! Just last night I picked up my Ostheimer bunny, once more wishing I could find the time to make my own...

I really should not be asking this, but do you know of any good books on making little wooden animals like that? :)

  2. Meike,
I didn't use any books when I made the wood animals and trees. My inspiration were the Ostheimer wood toys.

I just cut them out of pine with a scroll saw and then carved them by hand. Pine is not hard wood , so it was easy to practice with it. For toys that your kids can play with you need to use hardwood like maple and cherry for example. I have a book about carving, but don't know where it is right now. I let you know when I find it.
