My Little Pirate...and new goodies

He's done!
My first little pirate.

He's 13 inches /33 cm tall and has blond cotton wool hair and brown eyes.

He's listed in my Etsy store.

I was looking for some fabric on Sunday and had already settled for plain black and red cotton since I couldn't find anything I liked. It was sheer luck that I came across the black fabric with the little scull pattern and the red fabric with the white dots.

The black fabric was a remnant!! How lucky is that?? I just love these kind of finds.

I bought a bit more of the red /white dots fabric and can see some mushrooms coming my way in the future...... :0)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My mailman had some parcels for me today. YEAH!!!!
Did I mention before that I love getting mail....
The poor mailman wishes I had a bigger mailbox , so that he doesn't have to get out of his car all the time to bring things to the door....
I had ordered 3 books over E-bay and today they came.
Doodle Stitching by Aimee Ray
A wonderful book for beginners. Lots of details and easy instructions.
I love the look of this type of embroidery and plan to give it a try, hopefully soon.
It's almost like drawing with tread.
Sew Pretty Homestyle by Tone Finnanger
Beautiful ideas for things around the house. Love all the pink....
I still haven't figured out why I like pink so much these days.
Bend-The -Rules Sewing by Amy Karol
What a wonderful book by the super talented Amy Karol.
Great Ideas, easy instructions. What else does one need???
Also in the mail ....cute Japanese fabrics I bought .
They are sooo cute!!
For now they have to wait with aaaall the other wonderful fabrics to be turned into
cute little thingies.
I need more hours in the day!!!!
    Yes, I love mail too, especially parcels. The parcel delivery man knows me by my first name... Is that embarrassing or what?!
    P.S. I love the squirrel fabric!!
