Frost

Ok, this might not seem like anything to report on, while most of the North American continent is buried under snow and shivering in sub zero temperatures, but for Florida it is.

Ok,dies ist eigentlich nichts was man berichten müsste,vor allem wo doch der Norden der USA und Canada unter Massen von Schnee begraben sind und in
-30C Temperaturen klappern, aber für Florida ist es schon heftig und ein paar Zeilen wert.

We have frost! -6 C /21 F for days now! Wow!

Of course by lunch it is gone, but hey, in the land of warmth this is big!

It's kind of funny how people dress though. Most either ignore the cold and keep wearing shorts and sandals or the dress like they plan to head out in 30 below to shovel 2 feet of snow.

I'm sure in no time we are back to the usual temperatures.

Wir haben Frost! -6C schon seit Tagen! Wow!

Natürlich ist alles gegen Mittag schon wieder verschwunden, aber im Land der Wärme ist das dann doch schon 'ne riesen Sache.

Es ist schon irgendwie lustig wie die Leute sich dann dazu anziehen. Die meisten ignorieren die Kälte einfach und tragen auch jetzt noch Shorts und Sandalen, andere hingegen sind so doll eingepackt als ob sie bei minus 30 Grad über einen Meter Schnee schaufeln müssten.

Ich bin jedoch sicher das wir schon recht bald wieder unsere normalen Temperaturen haben werden.

I don't know what it is after Christmas that you get the urge to reorganize.

That's what I did and plan to do for a few more areas in our house. First on my list was my computer corner.....

Ich weiss nicht was es ist, das man nach Weihnachten immer der Organisationsdrang bekommt.

Mir geht es jedenfalls so und ich hab dann mal bei meiner Computerecke angefangen.....

I feel it works better now and looks more open then before.

Ich finde es funktioniert so besser und sieht offener aus.

Our pool is still not done , but the patio and pool surrounding are.

Unser Pool ist immer noch nicht fertig, aber die Terrasse wurde letzte Woche fertig gepflastert.

There's still a lot of sand on the stones,so the colors don't show very well, but I thought you might like to see it anyway. Next week they want to start on the inside of the pool

Hmm...I just noticed that I don't have a picture of the pool with the new tile and the stones around it... I will get one tomorrow....

Auf den Steinen liegt noch viel Sand und die Farben kommen nicht so gut zur Geltung, aber ich dachte ihr würdet sie dennoch gerne sehen. Nächste Woche soll dann auch das Innere des Pools fertig gemacht werden.

Hmmm...habe gerade festgestellt das ich kein Bild von den neuen Kacheln ,der Poolkante und den Steinen drumrum habe. Ich mach morgen eins .....
