Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence day to all Americans !!

The first thing I did today was save a little life!

When I looked out the living room window this morning I saw something swimming in the pool. Every now and then we have a little frog or toad in the pool, but this was swimming different.....


Having a closer look it turned out to be a little mole!

The poor critter ! He was all tired out.

I have no idea how long he had been in the pool swimming, but I'm sure he was happy to be fished out by someone who would not eat him after.

One of our dogs, Bailey was very interested in him, but of course I told her to go back to the patio, and so she did. The only problem was that she didn't look where she was going and so she fell in the pool.

Now Bailey can swim, but doesn't like to go in the water/pool. She just swam across to the steps and then stood there dripping.

It was so funny ...... :0)

For our first 4th July in the USA we went in the morning to see a parade here in

Lynn Haven/Panama City.

Our 3 boys took part in the parade with the martial arts club (Dragon Dojo) they attend.

It was hot, too hot for my taste , but fun!


Even at 9:00am the temp. was already 82 F with the humidity 96F !! The humidity is a killer here an we still have not gotten used to it, if that is possible at all, coming from Alberta/ Canada. I thought Ontario /Canada was bad for humidity, but Florida beats it by far!
Later we will go to see the fireworks...
